Dear Dr. Locker: Do lambskin condoms work?
Answer from Dr. Locker
They work to prevent pregnancy, but are not recommended for protection against sexually transmitted infections. Lambskin condoms have microscopic holes big enough to allow viruses — but not sperm — to enter the vagina. That’s why you should only use LATEX condoms to practice safer sex.
Also, some people are either turned off or turned on by the smell of lambskin condoms... just like lamb chops! Delicious. Or maybe not exactly what you're in the mood for during sex.
